September 2003:
Special excursion train open to the public. Leaves New York City Oct 7th for Montreal and returns Sunday Oct 19th. This Train sold out.

June 2003:
Private Rail Cars acquired 3 vintage sleeper cars and a 40 seat lounge car from Royal Rail of Florida.

May 2003:
On May 17th, over 300 guests were transported to Beacon, NY on a private train for the pre-opening gala event at the DIA:Beacon Museum [ www.diabeacon.org ]. The train of eleven vintage railcars, was provided through collaboration with MetroNorth. Departing from Grand Central Station, passengers enjoying spectacular views of the Hudson River as the train passed through towns and villages during the hour trip to Beacon. The elegance of the open-end observation car, tavern-lounge, 28 seat parlor car and vintage coaches provided a unique arrival at Beacon for the DIA:Beacon.

April 2003:
Private Rail Cars was invited to bring the Ohio River, a 1926 open-end observation car, to Washington D.C. to participate in the annual Congressional Reception sponsored by the American Association of Private Railcar Owners (APPRICO).

January 2003:
Julianne Moore was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in Far From Heaven. At the end of the film, her lover departs on a train provided by Private Rail Cars.

November 2002:
Private Rail Cars provided cars for Mona Lisa's Smile with Julia Roberts at Glen Ridge station.
